I have spent my career helping ambitious systems cross the gap between technically interesting and operationally real.

A career across boundaries.

My work spans NASA robotics, commercial RTOS platforms, board support packages, medical imaging, implantable cardiac devices, wearable monitoring and defibrillation, continuous glucose sensing, therapeutic lasers, high-speed diagnostics, and spacecraft avionics.

I have held principal, senior principal, lead, manager, lab-management, and teaching roles while remaining close to architecture and implementation. I am most useful when a problem crosses organizational or technical boundaries and the team needs someone to locate the real constraint, tell the truth about it, and build a path through it.

I hold an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech, completed doctoral research and coursework in embedded and secure spacecraft systems, am an IEEE Senior Member, and am named on more than seven U.S. patents.

I am based in the Seattle / Bainbridge Island orbit and work selectively with teams whose technology matters in the real world.
